We went to the new casino in town for dinner. I hadn’t been yet, so it was fun to check out. I’m a complete idiot when it comes to gambling. After dinner I put a dollar in a machine as we were walking by, hit the play button, and had no idea what happened. I assumed I lost a dollar and walked on.

I’m thankful for a quick night out somewhere new, for a fairly quiet work day, for a perfect warm, fall day, and for being able to sleep in tomorrow.

This week is going by a little quickly, which is ok, at least from a work side of things. And the weather has been great, which I almost feel bad about, given the major hurricanes going through the south recently. I’m so grateful that those I know who live in the area are ok.

I was way too tired yesterday to post anything. We left for the Witches Market at 10am and didn’t get home until 10 pm. It was a long day. Before the show began, they asked all vendors to a “circle” where someone played music and sang a blessing over the event. There were 150+ people, so it was a big circle.

The day was warm, and my booth sat just inside one of the building doorways. There was a strong wind, which became both a blessing and a curse. It helped cool things down, but it also blew my stuff over. Sadly, a few of my spirit dolls broke after falling off the table. I was able to fix one on site, and another I can fix later. The third was one a woman had wanted earlier and came back for. She decided she still wanted it, even with the broken leg. Amazing.

The foot traffic was crazy — a constant stream from opening to close. It made for great people viewing, and the crowd did not disappoint there.

I was sore and tired even today, but I sat in the hot tub for a bit before my mom and sister woke up this morning. We were able to go to breakfast and stop by a couple stores before they left to go home.

I’m super thankful for my fam helping me all day yesterday, for the friends who stopped by to say hello (and take home party skeletons and crows!), for making more than I spent, for a relaxing day today, and for getting the remnants of the crafting out of the garage so we could park in there again.

One should not have to start their day with a 6:00 am online sales training session where the presenter reads slides s.l.o.w.l.y. But that’s what I did. The upside is that I took the rest of the day off. I brought stuff to my booth at the garden store since they’ll be having an event there this weekend too.

Then worked on a few more dolls and an outfit for Saturday. I also started cleaning up my crafting mess and organizing my inventory. Tomorrow afternoon I start setting up my booth at the Witches Market. Yay!

Man, I worked too long today. Then I talked too long with Emma, my mom, and my sister after work, so I didn’t get to the last of my crafting as quickly as I planned. However, I did get four more spirit dolls done before calling it quits. Yay!

I’m thankful that Patrick got some laundry done and agreed to get the doors connected for my hanging wall, so I have less to worry about. One more day to hustle. Almost there!
