One more day and then freedom! For four days. I’m heading to NY to visit Emma. I’m excited and hope it’s also relaxing I’m thankful I was spontaneous and booked the flight.

After a disappointing day, I’m thankful for Patrick. He gets me.

It was a day that started with yummy basil eggs with Patrick. Mmmm

And ended with wood fired pizza with friends. Mmm

Luckily I skipped lunch. I’m thankful for a lovely day and friends who are up for spontaneous pizza parties. Also Ann’s delicious shortbread dessert. And these silly pups.

I spent most of the day junk shopping with a friend. We also stopped for ice cream, which was delicious. Ultimately, she didn’t find what she was looking for but we both found some good stuff. I got a cool santos cage doll that was on sale.

The rest of the day Patrick and I spent trying to get to a colleague’s brewery, getting blocked by a parade, and going for Mexican food instead. Then we hung out with the pups and watched a movie. Overall, it was a good day, which I’m grateful for.

I’m so thankful for a fairly quiet work day because I was so tired. The pups are bed hogs. They woke me numerous times every night this week. And the regular rain doesn’t help either. I cannot wait to sleep in.

I got a massage today- my first since my last surgeries. I really needed it, so I booked an extra long one, which still didn’t seem long enough. Bonus for me—it was a gift from a friend! I’m so grateful.

I’m thankful today for connecting with friends in even small ways.

It’s getting harder to find things to be grateful for every day, not because there aren’t good things in my life, but because there aren’t a lot of new things. I’m sure it’s like this for most people, but daily life is so repetitive. Go to work, come home, have dinner, watch a little tv (because it’s too warm to hang around outside right now), then go to bed. Booo. Boring.

Today I did shake it up by going to the gym after work. I guess I’m thankful for the little change. I’m also thankful that my boring life is a pretty good one. I have a nice house and a cute little family to come home to. I wouldn’t want to Groundhog Day anywhere else.

I’m thankful today for a light meeting day at work, an excellent visit to the dentist, a yummy dinner bowl waiting for me when I got home, and some play time with the pups.

I’m so thankful my friend Gwen hung out with the dogs and kept our house from falling apart while we were gone. I know she did a good job because the dogs obviously didn’t miss us. 😳😆
