I’m thankful today for more Christmas open houses at local stores, cool weather, snacks for dinner, and Ted Lasso repeats.

Patrick worked on his greenhouse today after we went to the apple orchard early. I went to a Christmas craft show and ran a few other errands. Then I swapped out some summer/winter clothes, not that the weather has turned cold, but it’s time. It’s cool enough that shorts are out.
I’m thankful for Christmas present planning, chats with family, dinner out with Patrick and a warm puppy blanket.

I’m thankful for a bit of time off work this morning to help Patrick with his car and get my booth swapped over for Christmas. The store my booth is in is part of a holiday town-wide event starting today. I felt bad that I still had Halloween stuff out. I’m glad I fixed it.
Now I’m exhausted. Always. However, I’m traveling next week for work, and I haven’t even thought about it. Or planned for it. This weekend I need to pack and figure out what I need to bring. I’m thankful I’ll have time to do that. I’m also thankful I’m going to a place I’ve never been, so at least that part will be interesting.

I’m grateful today for some little things: cooler weather, help from a friend at the end of a long work day, a yummy beer, good conversation over dinner, and sleeping pups.

It’s been a crazy long day. I’m thankful for a yummy work dinner though. I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. And I’m thankful for puppy snuggles. And silly Patrick photobombs.

I’m grateful today for optimistic conversations.

I’m grateful for an evening of junk tv and pumpkin pie before the chaos that will be our Election Day tomorrow.

Thankfully, I did not spend my extra hour today sleeping in late because I wanted to do other things today. Then it started raining, so Patrick and I decided to get out of town for a bit. We did some shopping and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant we hadn’t tried before. Chips and salsa. Mmmm.
I bought a new blanket that I love. We sat in the hot tub in the dark and drizzle. Then I got most of the laundry done, hung out with the pups, and had hot chocolate for dinner. It was a good day.

I woke up at my normal 5:30, and after a visit to the bathroom, went back to bed. When Patrick got up, the dogs followed and he shut the bedroom door behind him. So I fell back asleep and didn’t get up until 8:30! It was glorious! I don’t remember the last time I slept in that late.
I did get stuff done today, though. Some normal cleaning. Ran a few errands. But I was most excited to clean out the refrigerator. Wiping down the shelves and drawers was way overdue. And I’m not even ashamed to say how much I appreciate that kind of adulting stuff. Since I was on a roll, I even mopped the bathroom floors. Whoa.
I am thankful for clean spaces. And for some social fun today too. I went to a Halloween party for a bit and came home with a pet ghost. How cute is that?

It seems crazy to me that we have reached my birthday month already. What?! I blame our chaotic weather for throwing things out of whack. It’s been too warm to be November already.
We had our company party this evening, so I’m thankful the weather was still nice. The wind died down, the sun was out, and it was just cool enough to feel like fall. And our venue was perfect for a fall get together. I’m thankful that it turned out to be a lovely time, especially since several people backed out at the last minute. It was low key but everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. And I’m extra thankful to see people I don’t get to regularly anymore.
