I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I know we did. We opened presents and had good food and hung out, playing games and watching movies. We’re blessed and I’m thankful.

Merry Christmas Eve!

My girls had breakfast with us this morning before they went to their dads for the day. So Patrick and I had a chill day, cleaning up and watching Christmas movies. The pups didn’t care about the cleaning part…

But Cooper was onboard with the movie part.

I’m thankful for a relaxing day and the anticipation of a Christmas Day with my family.
I’m so thankful to have the kids home. Luckily the drive to and from the airport was easy albeit early. We stopped for breakfast, and ran a couple errands on the way back home. Then we had a relaxing day hanging out at home watching Christmas movies (and napping). Patrick made us pizza for dinner and we spent a little time in the hot tub. What a fun day!

I only worked half a day, and I get to see my kids when I pick them up at the airport very early tomorrow. Yay! I’m thankful…

I am thankful for seeing an old friend today, albeit for a short time and for an early Christmas gift. I love that part of it is handmade treats…mmm…
I’m also thankful that Patrick made it back safely. The pups and I are happy.

One again, work has been crazy stressful this week. The end of every month gets crazy, but the last month of the year is nuts. There’s a big push to wrap up projects and send out material and finish invoices to meet targets. I’m disappointed that it’s affecting my holiday spirit. But with all the major events happening around the world, I am truly grateful that I don’t really have much to complain about. And I’m looking forward to seeing my kids on Saturday.
I’m thankful for another good night with the pups, even though I still have Christmas preparations to finish. There’s time…

I’m thankful today for getting home after work and not leaving or doing anything but relaxing all night with the pups. We sang, we had ice cream, we snuggled. It was a good night.
I went to a Christmas brunch with Ann today. The food was good, the atmosphere was festive and the company was perfect. I’m thankful for the lovely time. We even got a bonus visitor at our table.

This evening I lit a fire in the downstairs fireplace and started wrapping Christmas presents. I used a cheater log—one of those Duraflame ones that burn for 4 hours. Only I thought I’d speed it up by knocking it apart. DO NOT DO THAT! It burned aggressively and started smoking. I was half afraid I’d wind up with a chimney fire. And then I had to open the doors to let the smoke out. I also put up our new smoke detector, just in case. I’m really grateful nothing came of it, and I got a good start on wrapping.
We got drizzly rain all day, so I spent a lot of the day cleaning up around the house in preparation for Christmas. The pups and I also got some snuggle time watching Christmas movies, although some of it included squeaking noises that made it hard to hear. I’m thankful for the low-key day.
