Well, I did not sleep in today as I had planned. Instead, Patrick and I got busy early and found a new place for brunch. Then we did a little shopping before heading back home. It was another beautiful fall day, so I’m thankful for hanging out and enjoying it. And it was just cool enough to enjoy the hot tub before it got dark.

I’m thankful today that the weather was warm and the sun was shining, so I got done most of what I wanted to do outside. I also got the Halloween stuff put away and laundry almost done. Maybe tomorrow I’ll have time to do something creative.

At about 1:30 today at work I looked at the clock and couldn’t believe how slowly the day seemed to be dragging on. I wasn’t the only one. Even my boss admitted he didn’t feel like working this afternoon. I blame another long week of changes. We got a new president who started this week. Our CEO was also here for a few days. I’m sure it will all be fine, but it’s added a layer of uncertainty to things again. In the five years at this company, I’ve reported to four different people because of restructuring and changes. It’s hard to be comfortable for long.

I’m thankful for the weekend. (Of course.) I’m thankful we will be gaining an hour because of daylight savings. I plan to use it to sleep in. And I’m also thankful our weather should be good so I can get some final yard work done.

I cannot believe it’s November already. I’m not sure I’m prepared for the start of a holiday season, even though I love Christmas. I’m even kind of looking forward to snuggling weather, especially now that Cooper has started curling up next to us on the sofa. So I’m a little thankful that our weather has cooled a bit. I’m a lot thankful the next couple days at work should be less hectic and we will have a weekend to get caught up on cleaning and getting Halloween stuff put away before any real snow hits us.

Happy Halloween! I’m thankful for some work fun today.

I’m also thankful for homemade soup and hot tub time after work before trick-or-treating started in our neighborhood. It was so much fun to see how excited some of the kids were to get their candy.

I’m thankful for getting through a busy Monday. For homemade soup. For cuddly pups. And a glass of wine.

I’m thankful that my family all got home safely, that it hasn’t snowed here yet, and that I had a quiet day to relax and work on my Halloween costume.

I’m thankful for another fun day with my family: Breakfast out and a day of shopping, laughing, and finally, watching Hocus Pocus 2.

Day one of girls’ weekend was fun! We started with brunch , then went to the Apple orchard and did some shopping afterwards until close to dinner time. Then we had snack and Patrick made pizza. Afterwards we got in the hot tub for a bit and ended the day watching Hocus Pocus because one of my sisters and mom hadn’t ever seen it. I’m thankful for a good day.
