It was a cookie kind of day but I’m thankful for crafts, homemade soup, and wine.

I’m grateful for my sister Brenda who shares her birthday with tacos and margaritas today. I’m also thankful for reassuring conversations, plotting tomfoolery, inspiring messages, and invitations.

I’m thankful today for sunshine and warmth, And that I survived my dentist appointment. I had a filling crack, so today I had it replaced. My dentist was SLOW. And he used a weird mouth guard thing to keep my mouth open, which kind of freaked me out. AND he and the assistant discussed Game of Thrones as if it were current. But I made it, and I’m hoping the pain I’ve been having will disappear.
I’m so thankful for my daughter, who turned 29 today. I’m sad she isn’t close enough to celebrate with, but we had a good chat and half of my present to her arrived in time. It’s also my younger sister’s birthday, and I’m grateful for her. She isn’t close either, but we also had a good catchup on the phone. I feel like I should have had birthday cake today in honor of them both. Darn it.
I’m also thankful for Patrick’s grandmother who had an unexpected surgery that went well. She’s been struggling with an infection and we’re all praying she makes a full recovery.
I’m thankful for a couple of motivational things today—one was a podcast and the other was this page of my gratitude calendar…

It was rainy all weekend, and I wanted to whine about it because rainy weekends stink.

But it was still a good weekend. We played yesterday, and I got stuff done today. I even spent time in my craft room working on a journal. Yay!

Today I’m thankful for bumming around with Patrick, even though he looks like a complete crabby pants in this picture. Typical. It was rainy and blah, so we found a new town to check out and had a nice lunch and got back in time for the sun to show itself.
Yay!! Soooo glad for the weekend! Sorry, I had to say it because it’s true. But I’m also thankful for dinner with Ann and an extra glass of afterwards. It was even nice enough to sit on the deck for a bit. And, I’m thankful for my friend Gwen who spent some of her time off this afternoon picking up an old wooden trunk I bought over the phone after thinking about it all night. Finally, I’m thankful for chatting with my kids, family, and friends throughout the day. It’s nice to be connected.
I’m thankful for a slower day at work, barn sales with a friend after work, popcorn dinner, a mowed yard and my brother-in-law Jim whose birthday is today.
I love celebrating and tonight I had another birthday dinner after work. It was low key and fun. We had good food and good conversation. It was a great Wednesday evening with friends.

I’m also thankful for these lovely flowers Patrick sent as a late substitute for no Easter basket this year. Even though I said it wasn’t necessary, I love them.
