I’m grateful today for another lovely day, a trip out of the city, an afternoon with my friend Ann and this snuggler…

Another warm, sunny day for which I’m grateful. I was able to sit outside for a bit and enjoy it after work. And tomorrow looks equally as nice. Yay! I’m also thankful for my busy week ending well, for beer and pizza, and for a weekend with no plans.
I had my 3-month oncology visit today—the first one since my oncologist left the area. I met with a nurse practitioner, and thankfully, I liked her. She was easy to talk to and sympathetic to my concerns. Upon my description of the continued joint pain, especially in my hips and lower back, she suggested getting an x-ray to make sure I don’t have any osteoarthritis starting. I’ll be scheduling that soon. I’m thankful everything else seems good.
I’m also thankful for another beautiful, warm day. And for getting my project timeline done and emailed, finally.
I have no words for today. It was a crazy work day that included a very contentious meeting with a customer and about 3 extra hours of working on a program schedule and chart after dinner. And I didn’t get it finished.
On the upside, we got a new water softener and drinking water system put in at home today. No more hard water showers. Yay! Im thankful for that.
I’m thankful for my lovely friend Ann, whose birthday is today. I’m glad we were able to celebrate on Easter.
I’m also thankful for the signs of Spring that seem to be increasing daily.

After another long Monday where I found myself stress eating jellybeans at work, I’m thankful for beautiful sunny weather that allowed me a long walk after I got home. I made my way to the gym, lifted some weights, and walked back, all the while catching up on the Easter sermon I missed. It was a good way to wind down.
Happy Easter! We had some friends over for lunch; we were even able to sit outside for a while. I’m thankful for the wonderful day and for the meaning of this holiday. He is risen!

It was a lovely, warm and sunny day, and I accompanied almost everything on my to-do list. I cleaned up and reorganized a spot in the basement, fixed a squeaky door, swapped out some clothes in my closet, cleaned up the flower beds in the front lawn, and ran some Easter errands. By 5:00 my body reminded me that I’m not used to so much physical labor in one day. Good thing I got a new heating pad. My back is thanking me.
I’m grateful for getting so much done, for the sunshine and nice weather, and for this special Easter treat left on my doorstep. I have the best friends. Chance wants to fight me for it, though.

I’m thankful today for sunshine, drinks with colleagues after work, Sherlock, and long weekends.
