I’m super thankful that most of the snow melted today. We even saw the sun briefly. Spring here is wacky, obviously, but I guess it keeps us on our toes.

I woke up angry. We got about 8” of snow today and are supposed to get more tomorrow. Grrr.

I am thankful that it warmed up enough that a lot melted already, and it should get warmer after the weekend so it won’t last. We ended up hanging out at home all day. Patrick played a new video game and I sewed. I got a couple of tote bags done. Yay!

I’m thankful for getting together with work colleagues to celebrate a retirement. It’s getting rare that someone stays with a company 20+ years anymore, but we have several people at work who have and will be retiring this year. The one we shared dinner with today is our IT guru and the guy “behind the curtain” on a ton of stuff, so he will certainly be missed for his expertise. He’s also that guy who will spend extra time to help and always has a story or silly example to share. We will also miss him for his friendship.

I’m thankful for seeing these signs of spring today.

Laughter. New wine glasses from my mom. A massage. Chatting with Emma. A quick work day.
I’m thankful it was warm enough to walk to the gym and back, so I got sunshine and exercise. I’m also grateful for hamburgers from the grill, plans with friends, and funny memes.

I’m grateful for finally getting my desk cleaned, meeting with an old friend after work, and hanging out with this puppers tonight…

Update…this guy finally joined us…reluctantly.

I’m thankful today for lots of sunshine, a yummy brunch, an afternoon of sewing, and pretty spring flowers.

I met a new doctor today. My primary care doctor left, and my oncologist recommended someone to try. I originally couldn’t get in to see him until June, so I scheduled an appointment with his nurse practitioner in April. But yesterday I got a message saying an appointment today opened up with him, so I jumped on it, and I’m glad I did. I understand why he’s so busy because he’s really nice. And thorough. I may end up only seeing his NP in the future, but hopefully they’re as good as he was. And it’s unexpected to know he has a Saturday rotation. I’m thankful I now have a new primary doctor, so I can update my surgeon and be ready for August.

It was such a busy week, so I’m thankful there isn’t anything crazy going on this weekend. I say that as if we ever have anything crazy planned…but today I’m actually glad for it.
