Today was kind of productive. I got my vaccine booster, finished the laundry, almost finished a book I’ve been reading for a while now, cleaned my craft room, and made a thing. Yay!

We spent the day junking and I found an old settee really cheap. Whoop! I’m going to clean it up, recover it and sell it to my sister. Ha!

I’m thankful for the fun diversion today. It’s been a long week and I’ve been stressed lately, so Patrick has been good at getting me out of the house for a little bit the last couple of days.
It also helps to have these silly guys hanging with me.

Today I’m thankful for the end of another long, lousy work week. I’m also thankful for friends who check in, walks in the cold with the pups, and decent endings to mystery shows.

I’m thankful for my favorite meal after a lousy day.

Our deck is finished! The guys actually finished yesterday but I didn’t get a picture. And the high temperature yesterday was not that high. Something like 28F. I felt bad for them, but they wrapped things up in half a day and never complained.
The size of this thing is ridiculous. I told Patrick it was a party deck and he needed to find more friends to invite over. He said it is just the right size for him. Alone.

I’m thankful it’s complete, but I’m more thankful that the contractor did a great job. Spring can come anytime now.

I left the house today! And I visited with a couple of friends today. One had texted me that she was looking to get rid of some items and thought I might want to look at them for my vintage booth, so I stopped over this morning. It had been months since we saw each other in person, so after loading my car with the items I decided to take, we caught up over coffee and apple cider donuts. Mmmm. We also compared hair because she had recently decided to stop coloring hers. We are almost twins!

After I left her house, I stopped by my friend Ann’s to drop off a couple of things I had for her. (I didn’t take a picture.) Of course, I had to stay a bit to chat and she ended up having a couple things for me to take for my booth as well. What?! I’m grateful for friends who are supportive of my ventures, but I’m even more grateful for the friendship of these two for over 20 years.
Speaking of my booth, I brought a few Valentines themed items there later today. To date, I’ve sold 4 items. It’s not a lot, but it’s also not zero. Yay! I’m thankful for that.
Connection. Care. Breakthrough. Strength. Those are the words I saw in one of those Facebook posts that say the first four words you see will be your focus for 2022. I don’t usually play those games, but a friend had posted it and I couldn’t help but look myself. I think they’re good words for me. I can use some positive reminders for this year.
I’m so thankful it’s Friday. It’s been a looooonnngg week. Today was a looonng day. I’m ready to relax.
