I got out over my lunchtime today, and it was a great day for it. It feels so liberating to leave the office in the middle of the day. I’m thankful for the breeze and for the guys mowing along the side of the highway. It smelled like late summer.

I’m grateful for a lovely view on the way to work this morning.

I’m thankful today for another day of crafting. I got most of my skeleton heads done. It was another good day of working in the garage. I also got some small totes and organized my stock, so I can tell how much more I need to make.

I spent a lot of the morning gathering stuff for my vintage booth. I sold almost $170 worth of stuff last month. Yay! I figured I might have open space, but there wasn’t as much space as I thought. The good thing is that I sold a few of the bags I made. It’s validating to sell the handmade stuff. I did swap out some items to Fall up things a bit.

Then I spent the rest of the day making new crafts for my booth at the market in October. It was such a lovely day that I set up a table in the garage to work from. It was outside enough, but I didn’t have to contend with the wind. I’m thankful I had a productive day.

I’m grateful that this week at work was fairly low key on the stress level, even though I didn’t get out as early today as I had hoped. I’m also thankful for getting the brakes/rotors in my car fixed finally —- no more shaking while braking. And I’m thankful for impromptu dinner plans that included a friend.

Tomorrow is Friday! Yay! I’m thankful for the short week.

The pups got into a tiff this morning over breakfast that culminated into a real row with me yelling and Patrick stepping in to break them up. It wasn’t a fun start to the day. Afterwards Cooper stuck to my side, shaking, until I had to leave for work.
I’m thankful it was only a morning thing because I wasn’t happy about it. And I’m thankful they were fine the rest of the day.

I’m thankful for a weirdly quiet day at work, for good health news for a friend, for making paper hats, and for chatting with Emma.

Happy Labor Day to us in the USA. I always find it ironic that the day honoring the achievements of American workers is celebrated with a day off work.
But I worked hard today. So did Patrick. After cleaning up a bit and swapping out some of my greenery around the house with fall leaves, I worked on more crafts. Party skulls anyone?

Those suckers look simple, but they’re time consuming! Plus I had to fight Cooper for the sticks in the yard. But I think they’re fun.
Patrick worked on expanding the garden area by paying down mulch in spots where he wants the grass to die off. He found a business about 20 mins away that’s giving away free mulch and has been bringing it home in totes. He’s going to need a lot more. the yellow area shows the faint black outline of where the edge of the new garden will go.

I’m thankful again the weather was gorgeous and perfect for sitting outside crafting and watching Patrick sweat it out moving mulch. Haha.

Geez. A new month. Where does the time go?! I spent a lot of today outside working on some new spirit dolls and inside our garage working on my booth layout. The way the months are speeding by, I’m worried I won’t be ready for the big Halloween craft show I’m in next month. Eek.
But I’m pretty happy with the layout I settled on. Hopefully, it works once I’m on site. I think it’s a good blend between Halloween and vintage. I’ll hang my skeleton and clay ornaments on the tree, and I’ll have a place to sit with the settee there. I think the fabric looks like wood after I painted it.

It was a long day and I’m sore, but I’m grateful for the beautiful weather and the long weekend.
