Cooper’s zoomies drive Barley crazy because he can’t catch him, but it is so funny to watch. I’m thankful for the bit of levity in our evenings even though the noise of them barking at each other interrupts our tv watching.

These guys. They make me smile.

I’m thankful for sunshine and snacks and this necklace Patrick gave me for our anniversary. It’s his and my birthstones, which happen to also be Emma’s, Brianna’s and Noah’s. It’s a family necklace!

It’s our 6-year anniversary today, and my car was pretty excited about it. 🎉 Besides running out to Home Depot, we decided to hang at home and make pizza. I’m thankful for our years together and a nice, relaxing day (especially since I slept in extra late!) which was perfect.

It rained again today, and I had intended to clean up around the house. Then I woke up and it didn’t sound as much fun anymore. So Patrick and I decided to leave town for a bit. We went to a junk store about 1/2 hour away and then just kept driving around. Eventually we had lunch and headed back home. I’m thankful today for a fun day wasting time. And a night hanging with the pups.

I got to hold a baby today! He was the little, 11-day old peanut of my colleague’s, and he was beautiful. I’m thankful I got to meet him. My colleague is going through chemo and radiation treatments for his brain tumor, and so far he’s tolerating it well. He’s grateful he’s able to spend his days with his new son and wife while he’s out on medical leave. Such a backwards blessing, but isn’t that the way it goes sometimes? They’re such a cute family. I’m so happy they’re all doing well.
I love this rose bush that has gotten crazy big this year. It’s so pretty. I’m thankful to have my flowers blooming while Patrick’s garden is growing.

I’m thankful I had a quiet enough day at work that I was able to get enough done to see the top of my desk again. I’m not caught up, but I made a good dent. Yay!
I’m also thankful for sunshine, lattes, and having no more restrictions from my last surgery.

Yesterday I went to the gym after work. Today I ate key lime pie. It’s the circle of life. And I’m grateful for it.
I’m thankful for dinner made for me. And puppy antics. And hot chocolate with whipped cream. And my mom checking in on me.
