We’ve been watching The Morning Show, and we’re on season 2 which depicts the beginnings of Covid. It’s. So. Weird. And kind of painful to watch. While Covid is probably here to stay, I’m immensely grateful to be beyond the height of the pandemic and the constant worry. It was stressful to watch.

I’m also thankful for making plans with friends, avoiding bad weather, and foot snuggles with this silly Cooper.

Patrick went on an appliance hunt today so while he was gone, I spent a good portion of my day crafting, something I haven’t done in a while. It felt good, and now I have a few things to finish, which gives me something to look forward to. I’m making a series of angels and demons out of clay, and I got a few started.

I’m thankful I had some creative time, I got some stuff done around the house as well, and that today was warm and sunny enough to keep the doors open all day.

We had a full day that began with going to a barn sale (and buying nothing), then checking out dishwashers (ours is going on the fritz), before attending a celebration of life event (for the father of a good friend). We ended up checking out a local distillery afterwards.

Since I didn’t sleep well last night, I’m thankful Patrick closed the pups out of the bedroom this morning so I could sleep in. And while I usually try to avoid anything funeral related, I am thankful for being able to see how a life well lived draws a crowd. The celebration was lively and happy, and I was glad our friend was comforted by so many people.

It was a remarkably slow day at work, which felt amazing after the last couple weeks of chaos. I didn’t get caught up, but I was finally able to clean off my desk. I’m thankful for that.

I’m also thankful for more sunshine, a really good fish sandwich, and the ability to sleep in tomorrow.

It was crazy driving into work this morning because the fog was so dense, I could barely see. Which made taking this picture pretty stupid, I know, but I couldn’t help it.

I’m grateful I made it to work without an issue. I’m also thankful the weather was warm enough again to get a walk in after work.

It was so warm again today. It was still 68 degrees when I left work. Never mind it snowed 3 days ago. We’ve got whiplash around here from the back and forth of the weather. It’s crazy that we can have the heat off and doors open until bedtime. I am thankful that we were able to get out and walk around the neighborhood after dinner and enjoy it. After all, we might get snow again in a couple of days.

Patrick decided to run some errands on his own because I wanted to hang out at home and play in my craft room. However, I ended up spending time cleaning up my closet and packing away the last of the winter greens I had left out because I’m tired of winter. I’m happy with the touches of spring I’ve added around the house…

So, I’m thankful for getting things cleaned up and spruced up. I’m also thankful my friend Ann was able to come over for dinner at the last minute. We haven’t seen each other in a while, so it was overdue.

My mom and sisters stuck around long enough today to do some shopping. I’m thankful that Patrick slept on the sofa so my sister with a bad back could sleep with me, that he made us a yummy breakfast this morning, that we found some good deals today, and that they made it home safely.
