I’m thankful today for freedom.

Patrick has some residual fatigue from Covid, so I went to a Fall flea market today with a friend. It was outdoors and a warm, lovely day, and we both found some great deals. I also found some inspiration. I’m thankful today for fun and friendship.

It’s Friday!!

I’m thankful for the weekend AND for finally testing for negative for Covid. Yay!!
September 8, 2022
How is it September 8 already? I feel like we are screeching towards Fall. The crickets, the waning sunshine, the cooler nights. I’m thankful today for feeling well enough for a drink amid evening snuggles.

Every day is a little better. I’m thankful for that. As well as the beautiful sunshine, warm tea, chats with my mom and sister, and clean blankets dried in the sun.

I made through work today, albeit working from home. I needed one more day of quarantine since we are following CDC guidelines. Depending on how I feel in the morning, I may go back to the office tomorrow. I’m hoping my plugged ears and moments of uncontrollable coughing will have subsided a bit more more. Either way, this will be me.

I am thankful for continued healing and for the friends who have checked in on us. I’m also glad for the cooler weather and the beautiful day we had today.

We are finally feeling better! I’m so thankful.
August 4, 2022
I’ve had moments where my wracking cough subsided and my sinuses cleared today, so I’m hoping tomorrow is better. I took one of those moments as an opportunity to relax briefly next to our fire table. Finally, a little holiday weekend vibe. I’m thankful for that.

I’m thankful today for naps, popsicles and massage guns. I’m also grateful that Patrick is beginning to feel better.

September 2, 2022
My test confirmed I have Covid. It’s probably a good thing or Patrick was going to accuse me of faking it. As if I could fake this horrible cough. Plus I woke up at 2:30 this morning choking on my sinus drainage, which was incredibly rude and horrifying.
I am thankful that overall we are both feeling slightly better today. I felt like I had a little more energy, and Patrick said his body aches have lessened. I was hoping I’d feel well enough to sit outside by our fire-pit table, but that was a little too optimistic. I am super disappointed that we can’t go anywhere on our long weekend, so I’m hoping before the weekend is over, we have bounced back enough to have some fun.
