Today I’m thankful that so far this month I have actually sold enough from my craft/antique booth to turn a profit. Yay! In fact, on a whim, I brought over a painting I did and someone bought it. That feels good. At this rate, I’m going to need to amp up my junking and craft game. Oh, darn.

This guy is in the dog house again.

Remember last month when he tripped me on our walk? I did a pretty epic fall onto my right hand. The bruising has gone away. The swelling is better but my pinky has still been bothering me, so I mentioned it to my doctor last week. She suggested I get an X-ray, and I got the results today. My pinky is fractured. Grrr.

Then tonight I had a few potato chips. Just a few because of the stupid losing weight thing. And I dropped one and almost caught it but Chance swooped in and fought me for it. Practically swallowed it whole in his excitement. (Ahem. Don’t ask me how he knows they’re yummy.) Double Grrr.

So Chance annoyed me today. But on the upside, look at that face. I can’t stay mad at him for long. And although my pinky is fractured, my joint is fine. That’s what I was worried about, so I’m thankful for that. And the potato chip? Hmm. Still salty about that steal, but I’ll survive.

Some days it’s hard to find something to be thankful for because it’s just an ordinary day. Mundane. Somewhat boringly repetitive. Like today. Work. Take a walk. Play with the dogs. Eat dinner. Watch tv. Go to bed.

How lucky is that, though. With all the craziness out there in the world, a lot of us get to have an ordinary day.

Our friends left this morning and I’ve been exhausted all day. Patrick has too. I hate daylight savings. Even though we hadn’t really stayed up late over the weekend, somehow losing that hour messed us up. I’m thankful we had a day to simply relax, although we did take a walk sans pups. They needed a nap because they are definitely not used to children running around the house. Poor guys. I’m also grateful that the weather warmed up. We were able to sit out on our new deck for a brief time this afternoon. Yay!
