I left the house today! And I visited with a couple of friends today. One had texted me that she was looking to get rid of some items and thought I might want to look at them for my vintage booth, so I stopped over this morning. It had been months since we saw each other in person, so after loading my car with the items I decided to take, we caught up over coffee and apple cider donuts. Mmmm. We also compared hair because she had recently decided to stop coloring hers. We are almost twins!

After I left her house, I stopped by my friend Ann’s to drop off a couple of things I had for her. (I didn’t take a picture.) Of course, I had to stay a bit to chat and she ended up having a couple things for me to take for my booth as well. What?! I’m grateful for friends who are supportive of my ventures, but I’m even more grateful for the friendship of these two for over 20 years.
Speaking of my booth, I brought a few Valentines themed items there later today. To date, I’ve sold 4 items. It’s not a lot, but it’s also not zero. Yay! I’m thankful for that.
Connection. Care. Breakthrough. Strength. Those are the words I saw in one of those Facebook posts that say the first four words you see will be your focus for 2022. I don’t usually play those games, but a friend had posted it and I couldn’t help but look myself. I think they’re good words for me. I can use some positive reminders for this year.
I’m so thankful it’s Friday. It’s been a looooonnngg week. Today was a looonng day. I’m ready to relax.

Today I’m thankful Patrick found me.

Barley is wearing my socks on his head because they’re full of his fur. These pups are a constant source of laughter that I’m grateful for.
Tonight my youngest called me while Patrick and I were shopping. I don’t typically like talking on the phone in public, but I took the call. Emma was outside and her dog kept trying to run away, even though he was on a leash. Apparently he was zipping back and forth and it made her laugh. A lot. So we didn’t have much of a conversation, which was fine. I’d spend all night listening to her laughter. I miss it, and I’m thankful for a few minutes of hearing my daughter sound so happy.
Today I’m grateful for friends with trucks, for Mondays that go by quickly, and for warm, fuzzy blankets.

Today I talked with a friend about radiation. She’s dealing with breast cancer for the second time and has radiation to go through, something she didn’t need the first time. She didn’t want anything sugarcoated, so I sent her some photos.
I finished radiation in November so not that long ago, but even I cringed when I looked back at the photos. It was a bad few weeks. It’s amazing how quickly we can forget things, even the bad. What a blessing. I’m thankful for that.
